Santa's grotto.

Santa and the elves were all at the North Pole or so one of the staff at Crook Hall Durham informed us. Crook Hall is a gem in the middle of Durham city. It is literally 10 minutes from the town centre on the banks of the river. It is a beautiful medieval and Jacobean house surrunded by fabulous gardens. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Durham.
