Kangaroo paw

Native to Western Australia, these were quite rare until about 15 years ago, but now the are a popular choice for Aussie gardens as they appear to be quite hardy in our difficult conditions. This specimen is obviously thriving.
Out on the foreshore walk today. After the flatness of my Singapore walks this walk (although only slightly hilly, well undulating really ) had me huffing and puffing like the oldie I am!
