The Back Room At The Ibis Inn

This is one of the large Ibis nests at the back section of the lake. The council has only recently cleared away a lot of bush that was blocking this view and I finally remembered to have a look what they were all up to!

The females seem to mooch around in the nest most of the day as the babies have developed into juveniles now and they all take off and gather in the clearing on the other side.

Actually I noticed today that there are at least 50 or more juveniles which is too many for this little area really. I guess they'll all eventually fly off to new trees around the place but for now .... there's definitely no room at the inn! :)
