Team Fox (Foundation for Parkinson's Research)

In an avatar-based virtual world, Second Life, researchers have set up an area where sufferers of Parkinson's Disease can meet and support one another. I have shared with you on a previous occasion how a colleague's mother's condition has improved by interacting in this three-dimensional virtual world. This is a recent article on her. As a part of Michael J. Fox foundation, research is being conducted on how 3D virtual worlds can help Parkinson's sufferers.

This picture is of a ballroom that they have set up in Second Life and for Parkinson's sufferers to meet and dance over this festive season.
