IMPACT Philippines update

Three weeks on from devastating Typhoon Haiyan and IMPACT Philippines are still in the midst distributing relief to people left homeless by the storm. The need is so great. Efforts are being focused in the town of Daanbantayan and its surrounding areas; where roughly 90% of houses were destroyed.

So far we have distributed emergency food packages to over 7,000 families.

One colleague described how 'in one place an old lady ate the raw rice grains out of hunger when she received our pack'.
