Johnny Reb

Located in Veteran's Park in Ocala, this memorial honors the sons of Marion County who fought in the Army of the Confederacy. For years locals have referred to the statue as Johnny Reb.

Busy day with appointments, errands, and stuff to get ready to take Connie to the airport tomorrow so she can be in Maine helping her mother move back home from the rehab center.

Update: Dave Rowe is a folk singer in Maine (Squid Jiggers) and the son of a good friend, the late Tom Rowe (Schooer Fare). I just got this link today, it's worth a read and a listen. Stranger in Gray
