Advent kaleidoscope

No time for photography today so this is a quick blip of our advent calendar taken with the iPad. I made this when the boys were very young and never thought I'd still be putting it up when they're all nearly grown up, but it's become part of the Christmas tradition. It's looking a little worse for wear now, with some stray threads and curled edges. I remember doing all the even numbers in silver and the odd numbers in gold to try and help Alex to recognise which was which. He has always had a unique view of the world, and maths in particular, and for a long time insisted that 5 was an even number because it was perfectly balanced between 0 and 10. I can see the logic!
