Is what this box of cereal has cost me today. I must have bitten on a particularly hard piece of dried banana and I broke a tooth. I rang my dentist, was told if I could get there before 11am he would see me, arrived at 10.55 am, in the chair at 11.05 am. To be told, I would need to have the tooth crowned, but initially he would extract the broken piece and put a temporary filling in place. Injection, extraction, filling and out by 11.30am having made an appointment for February to have the tooth crowned at a cost of 375 euros.

Then off to the beauty therapist for a facial, followed by an appointment at the hairdressers, followed by a visit to the hospital to make an appointment to see the ophthalmologist, which is for Monday 9 December, arrived home to be telephoned by the hospital to say would I attend tomorrow at 3.30pm for my bi-annual mammogram, I think that is excellent service from my NHS hospital.
