It's bleak up north

This is the fells above my parents' house. It is bleak, but also one of my favourite places. And a blast of fresh air on top of the hill was just what I needed after an up-too-late night and a long stuffy journey on the train back up here.

The Edinburgh holiday tomorrow gives the kids a day off work and us a chance to have a more leisurely journey back up to Scotland.

Not sure how this photo isn't in focus. But that's kind of how I feel today.
