Fireball Lilly

57mm of rain this morning. I couldn't belive it when it was still raining when we woke up this morning. BEAUTIFUL...

I was standing talking to Matty this afternoon after I got home from work and spotted a bit of colour across the yard. It's amazing how quickly this plant flowered after the rain. I wil blip the flower up close when it opens all the way.

I had to ring the young friend of ours that gave me the plant earlier in the year to see what it was called. I thought it was ginger but he said that it was a Fireball Lilly. Whatever it is it looks interesting.
