A Day of Obversion

As you can see by my title I had a day of just observing.. I was going to go to the Botanic Gardens, but halve way there thought the wind was a bit too strong for flower shots and I just wasn't feeling 100%. So took a walk back though the city.

On my walk home I came across some interesting things.. well they were to me! Like the woman with the very long arm and the Pastel Coloured carrots. I also took a number of shots of flowers and noticed how beautiful and bright they were today. Then I came across and a earthquake damaged brick fence with all the plants growing though the bricks.

I walked along the side of the Avon River and saw a number of ducks enjoying the sun and when I noticed this high-rise building that should come down with the notice up high... Merry Xmas, peace, FOR SALE, as is where is. Do hope who buys it pulls it down. Many people were tramped in that building after the earthquake for many hours as all the staircases collapse!

The new building on Victoria Street look wonderful reaching up to the sky with the beautiful blue tones and reflections. The shop window looked lovely with its white angels so needed to be captured.

I went and had a coffee and was asked if I had a loyalty card.. which I didn't and he said should have got one and gave me five stamps so my next coffee will be free. How nice was that!

I went outside to have my coffee and noticed a young couple playing cards, most unusual for Christchurch. A couple in their cycling gear were discussing what the plant was in the pot on the table. Neither of them seem to know so I told them it was a purple basil plant. We got talking and the guy has just arrived from Melbourne this morning and they were looking around the city on their bikes.
