Homemade Cider!

Today we had a great time at our Goddaughter's birthday party in the palouse. She was celebrating her 4th birthday by going up to an orchard and making apple cider. It was so much fun! The kids loved getting all the apples, helping dad crank the machine that chopped them all up, watching the juice come dripping out while the apples were being squished and then pouring into jugs.

It was a great time and my dear husband even pasteurized all of our cider when we got home so we don't get any weird bacteria.
