Winter 2011 Project

Having shared with you all some of my older knitting, here's the 2011 effort. I'd not knitted for many years having got totally absorbed in work that took all my energy. But October 2009 I went on the entrancing Norwegian Coastal transport journey Bergen to Kirkenes, way up beyond North Cape in the Far North : adventure. Then back. 10days in all, stopping at 34 ports on the way up and back. I was totally entranced by the ever changing coastal land & sea scape. As it's the locals transport system folk come and go at the ports. Many women sat in the café knitting.Ha, I was hooked again, so having enjoyed the journey so much I did it again Spring 2011, taking this project with me. Great way to enjoy the journey.
I was very pleased that I managed a complicated pattern, that I'd liked & had for years . But I think the wool was a disaster. I bought very expensive Debbie Bliss merino wool it bloody washes & wears like cotton!!.I complained loudly and was told they would replace the wool ( not the money). I told them I certainly didn't want more of the same Grr!.
