House of John Knox

Continuing with the Edinburgh after dark blips I walked up the Canongate and onto the bottom end of the High Street tonight to John Knox's house. Decided to go with a mono shot as the colour ones were not that interesting and even though this is my least favourite shot of the week so far, it was improved by being in black and white.

The building dates back to 1470 and is the only original medieval building left in Edinburgh. John Knox only lived here for a short time before his death in 1572, but it was this association that saved the building from demolition in the 19th century.
