That's one expensive forged Ha'penny.
Backblipping after a run of uninspired days.
I was first grabbed by the thought which formed the title.
Then I turned it over and cussed. "That's NOT right!"
I was certain "Young Head" Victorias were Britannia on the reverse side.
Then I came home and, mildly, researched it.
"Ship halfpenny.
The design was created by Mr T H Paget OBE in 1937, and you will find his initials (HP) in the field below the stern on each coin. The ship halfpenny design was issued into circulation between the years of 1937 and 1967, eventually being demonetised on 31 July 1969."
"Victoria Penny Bun Head Pennies 1860-1894"
Yet again ... The defence rests yer Honour.
