Venus and Moonrise

I finished work in good time this afternoon and the sky was looking promising for a cool clear sunset, and I hoped to see Venus rising, so I got my wellies on and went for a walk into the meadows at the back of the village, and managed to find a nice horizon with Venus, sunset afterglow and a bonus of a very slim crescent Moon to boot.

It was a good job that I put my wellies on as there were some very boggy parts, and I nearly slipped over a couple of times.
