Cross at Lake Junaluska

We lived in Lake Junaluska, NC for 7 years. This spot was always one of my favorites for quiet thinking and photographs. It was nice to return there today after being away for 17 years. Chief Junaluska was a Cherokee leader known for his efforts toward peace. The county where this is located has 19 peaks over 6,000 feet high. It is the most mountainous county in North Carolina.
