Christingle

Worked early today so I was able to go to my sons Christingle service this afternoon, helping to walk the kids down to the church and back too.

It was a lovely service and my son surprised me by being confident enough to stand at the front of the church, with a handful of other children, to show the congregation the hand/arm actions to one of the hymns we sang.

This on top of the Star of the Week he received last Friday for 'Beautiful Singing and Representing the School well' is making me a very proud and blessed Mama right now.

The Christingle couldn't be lit in the church, Elf & Safety on the prowl again! So we lit it when we returned home and watched the candle as he ate the sweets and raisins that were stuck into the orange.

Oh, and I was Invested as a Beaver Scout Leader this evening, much to the merriment of Mr Lovely! ;-)
