The Morning After the Freeze
Today was a very cold day. I had bumped up heat in our reptile room today to keep up with the 28 degrees outside. Our reptile room never made it over 74 degrees, which is a good temperature for the colony in the winter; however, the heater was near full-blast. Glad it's an economy one and limited to one room. The rest of the house is pretty chilly too, I even slept in socks (which I never do)!
I moved my little living room girl gecko upstairs until it warms up a bit after this cold front leaves. I did love this morning, though. I got a few lovely shots of the frost that was covering everything. I was absolutely tickled. I've come to the conclusion that I do not have a favorite season--I love them all equally for different reasons! Because life is just wonderful. :)
The car was frozen locked, though! ahaha, who would have known that you might need to unfreeze a lock to even get into your car! And then unfreeze the door jams with water to open the door. It was quite the little adventure this morning and I was glad I got out of bed early (with full intent to drag my camera out for capturing the frozen masses of the yard).
