Milky Way and Southern Cross
Taken on the night time tour of Mount John Observatory at Lake Tekapo. Had an amazing time on the trip and learned a lot about our extremely clear skies in New Zealand.
We were so lucky with the weather, getting clear skies after seeing a forecast for cloud! Got to see some amazing sights through the telescopes including Saturn and its moons.
For me, it was great to get a nice picture of the sky I see every night, thanks to the observatory for providing an astrophotographer to help everyone get the best out of their camera, a massive help for me because I've never tried shooting the stars (see what I did there?) before.
