7 O'Clock Shadow

The wind is whizzing, wheelie bins are flying, not a train to be had anywhere in Scotland.

Glasgow Central has apparently been evacuated as the beautiful glass roof was damaged by debris.

It's all happening.

Only thing to do is gaze into the distance and try to work out the logistics of how to get to work. I'm back, lightly tousled, to work from home (perhaps I won't become a hairdresser after all...).

Best quote from coverage so far:
BBC reporter speaks to stranded rail passengers Anne and Andy Nicols from Glasgow. They were due to travel to Southport, from Central Station, for a two-day holiday, but are now unsure if they will go. Mr Nicols said: "We'll hang on for a while, and if nothing happens we'll get a Chinese buffet from next door and go home."
