Alys remembered the Advent calendar properly this year, and couldn't wait to get downstairs this morning to see what little treat was waiting in pocket number one. She's as good as gold with it too, not dipping her fingers an inch into any of the other pockets till the right day comes around.

I spent part of the morning finishing off DIYish stuff in the bathroom, then spent the afternoon painting and colouring and making cheesy dumplings for the casserole.
