The first of Winter

Today we had our first small fall of snow and yet again all NE Scotland fell into panic and melt down as the roads became jammed with people who had not prepared. I mean they have only been forecasting this for a few weeks so I suppose it is to be expected.

Now that my rant for the day has passed there is something special to me about the first fall of snow as it signifies further changes it the scenery and makes Xmas seem that little bit closer. I will have probably jinxed it now and our Indian summer will be here next week :-).
