Winter Warmer?

It may be when I have knitted this wool into a scarf for my husband ! Very soft alpaca wool!
I hasten to add that F has never worn a scarf before, and has one pair of ancient leather gloves which he hardly ever wears!
But he has been finding the winters a bit colder lately, and so I decided to knit this for Christmas!
Will he wear it, and will I finish it in time ?!
