Bang !!!

Out on a walk today I passed many massed plantings along the roadside, done by the Council to enhance our environment. There were roses, day lillies, hebe's, etc, and this. I have no idea what it is, and there was more leafage than flower, but it looked so exuberant that it just had to be photographed.
