Sinterklaasavond.

On the 5th we celebrate "het Sinterklaasfeest".
(Originally, the Sinterklaasfeest celebrates the name day, 6 December, of Saint Nicholas (270–343), patron saint of children.)

Part of the traditions are the gifts which are given in the name of Sinterklaas. Some of the gifts have a verse. Usually this verse says something about the person receiving the gift.
