Poinsettias...

...bringing some brightness into a grey day. I bought them on Leather Lane market yesterday from a Cockney stall holder who called me "Baby" - I'm used to being called Love, Darling and Duck, but never Baby before!

Yesterday evening we went to the annual Advent performance of Handel's Messiah in St Paul's Cathedral. The orchestra and soloists, particularly the cherubic boy sopranos, were beautiful, but when both organs boomed out and two choirs filled the dome with their "Hallelujas", it was thrilling!
