Storm Damage:

I guessed the weather today wasn't going to be wonderful but I did not anticipate the veritable tornado and hailstones we experienced.

I watched all day through my french window and saw the trees nearly bent double and, in spite of my hearing aids not really working, I could actually hear the hailstones on the windowpane but to see my squirrel pantry slowly collapse further and further into the bushes seemed to be the ending an era. (The squirrels aren't going to miss it they haven't been around this year at all.) So here it is, lying on the path (still full of nuts).

But I'm keeping it in proportion - it's no tragedy compared with the news received from my granddaughter - she lost the roof of her flat.
