Blackbird

Male Blackbird - Turdus merula

Late again today - first Christmas Function of the season.

I prepared this before I went out.

In yesterday's image, I darkened the background to make the bird stand out more.
That wouldn't work with today's image (from the same bird hide) as the bird was also dark. I therefore lightened the background taking care that the highlights didn't get burnt out.

I was rather disappointed with myself for cutting off the end of the blackbird's tail.
