Bear painting
Bear's approach to painting is a lot more cavalier than his big brother's, whose is rather more civilised these days!
Piper was a little wide of the mark today and I was actually a bit worried. Bean woke up and got himself dressed, and announced it was "Sports Day!" They found Piper fast asleep snuggled up with Duck, having had a busy night setting up a rather fabulous invitation to paint.
But it was Sports Day so after breakfast (having persuaded Bear to eat something rather than dive straight into the paint while I was making breakfast) we did running races in the garden and bike races, and I sorted out some of the things that the wind had blown over yesterday. Then they ate biscuits (well Bean did, off the chocolate variety that he said he didn't want; and Bear poured his juice over his biscuits again) and watched TV.
Then they were actually happy to paint! And they got very painty. And had lots of fun :)
After Bear's nap we went out for a nighttime walk to the shops. They took their umbrellas to help them walk, and they walked all the way from shop to shop until Bear got tired and had a shoulder ride home again. They did good. Even if it did take some chocolate bribery. I'm struggling a bit with my hearing though, sore throat and fuzzy ears. Makes hearing Bean really hard work especially through a thick woolly hat on busy roads when he has a hood and a brolly in the way too!
