Norwegian tree

A busy day meeting Children in Scotland and the Children's Commissioner for Scotland and preparing for Stage 2 of the Children and Young People's Bill which is currently going through the Scottish Parliament.

There have already been 80+ amendments tabled which we are having to consider along with the possible amendments Scottish Ministers might wish to table. So all very busy.

So it was good to relax with hospital radio broadcasting at the end of the week. One of my co-presenters, Alan, whom I blipped previously, is blind so after the programme I took him home to Leith Walk. On the way back I had a chance to stop on the way up to the Mound to take a hand held shot and look at this year's tree which is traditionally a gift from the people of Norway.

The lighting this year is particularly carefully done and seems to have survived the gales the other day. The setting is special with the Castle in the background.

Then home to defrost the freezer ahead of the Christmas input. Mundane but necessary!
