Summers here

Everything seems to fall into place in summer.

Had a great meeting with Kanyes lead worker and a phone call from ferndale deputy principal welcoming us, the class he's going into sounds perfect for him, the other kids in there are of a similar age and have similar disabilities / functioning it's all sounding good!

Marley has been in the principals office a couple of times but I can understand why he might have hit another child. His brother takes his stuff or sits really close, Kanye has no idea of possession or personal space and because Kanye doesn't understand Mar when he tells him to go away or stop taking his stuff Kanye grabs Mar so they wind up fighting and Mar will hit him if he's doing something and Kanye comes close to let him know to back off. Otherwise he's been doing really well in school and is learning at a fast pace.

I love the warmer weather, it's been so nice, the flowers, the fruit, the boys have been swimming in the school pool every day, only downside to the warmer weather is it takes the boys longer to fall asleep at night, who can blame them when at 9pm the sun is shining and it's 20 something degrees outside.

I'm really looking forward to the holidays and doing things with them.

Summer just makes me smile.
