Consorting with the Bishop ..
When I woke I felt considerably better than yesterday, though still a bit feeble!
I was to pick up a passenger from the station before heading to Durham to play in this. (I have been playing in David's musical events since he was Bishop of Portsmouth, then Salisbury - and now he's retired to Durham)
Because of overnight flooding the M62 was closed as was the route into the station, but we got around the various problems and got to Durham in good time for the afternoon rehearsal.
I really enjoyed it (in spite of having spent my practise day in bed, yesterday!) Between the rehearsal and the concert we joined the students for a meal - how well they eat! I wondered if my illness yesterday was due to a combination of stress/tiredness and my current appalling sandwich and sweetie based diet!
Got home incredibly late - and was greeted by mum, distressed on the landing and 'unable' to go back to bed.
Ho hum .. and so life continues ..
