A Day for the Hammock

I had today off and spent the morning either in bed or on the couch, reading. It was great! I find that I need time to do very little or nothing at all in my own company. It's revitalising.

I ventured into town to meet an old friend, D. We met about 10 years ago and our paths cross every so often, always in a delightful way. We chatted about all sorts and he's one of the few people I've met from these islands who has lived in my home town and who is a fan of my hockey team. Plus, he let me take his photo. He's ace.

From there I went to an enjoyable drinks party hosted by a fellow blipper. I think it's fair to say a good time was had by all. Thank you, N and C.
