Edinburgh

Decided to take a trip by train to Edinburgh this morning even although the weather was rather dismal. It did clear up a bit for us to enjoy a walk through the Christmas market and watch the ice skating. Also a bit of Euan and Eve shopping was done before we returned home.

On the return journey the train conductor asked to see our Senior Rail cards ( we had bus passes which are also valid at weekends) to prove we were entitled to discounted tickets. Apparently some dishonest travellers , when purchasing at the ticket machine, claim they have them and get cheaper tickets. I was astounded that we did not look honest folk!!
