Unexpected Owl

Went Xmas shopping in Boston this afternoon.

Very busy.

Was badly flooded the other night, but things getting back to normal.

A lovely surprise when we pulled into a store car park.

There was a stall with a lovely selection of tame owls.

Was allowed to touch them, amazingly soft and friendly.

The owners let me take photographs for a small donation.

The owls were not for sale.

Such beautiful birds.

This is a blip of a Great Grey Owl.

He is huge, and a real poser.

An unexpected treat being able to get so close to them and stroke them.
