Cutting corners

This is a corner of a big painting in encaustic by our friend Bill Zima which hangs in our living room. It works well there partly because the walls have almost as distressed a surface as the painting. Started the Christmas baking for the freezer today. A million years since I made pastry and my head was full of thoughts of my friend Marj whom I had lunch with last week. She's a potter. Consequently the processes of kneading the pastry (with a light touch) and wedging clay (employing biceps) may have got a little entangled. I'll let you know. I've hit the return key 3 times to start a new paragraph here - if it hasn't worked can someone explain why and how? I'm using the blip app on my iPad.
