It's a great night for football!

The recreation department always makes an effort to recognize the efforts of ALL players involved in football from the pee-wee level all the way to high school. Tonight was no exception and it was all about recognition.

The high school team entered the field with "high-fives" to all of the younger boys. The boys were so excited, afterward, coming off the field saying "I high-fived Alex!" or "Kaleb gave me five!". So cute, how they idolize these high school players.

At half-time, the line formed again and as the team headed in for their huddle, another round of "fives" were given. Then our boys had their moment of glory, as each team was called out onto the field to be recognized.

It always seems to be the coldest night of fall, and most of us are freezing, but it's always worth it when you see the smiles on these young players faces. It's obvious that they love the sport, share in the passion, and look up to the older guys!
