an attack of the austens

There are occasions when I think the management at Lyme Park need to get over the Pride & Prejudice connection..... but today I was pretty okay with it. The house was closed to allow for a special P&P exhibition, imagine our delight when we realised we were allowed to play with the dressing up clothes. The menfolk ran a mile from the Mr Darcy costumes and Eve was unimpressed with my attempts to convince her to don a bonnet but as a woman of much sense, Shadowlight got involved.

Eve declared Mummy's outfit "pretty" but was distinctly unmoved by the Mr Darcy lookalike with whom we posed.

We wanted an R&E blip but as they both failed to dress up, it shall wait for the morning!
