Home sweet home

What a day! Especially after having been travelling for more than 24 hours!

Our first day in San Antonio.

I had a meeting to register with international services at 9am. All went smoothly but cost 35 dollars for my taxi.

It was then back to meet Ryan and go try to hire a car. Note for everyone going to the states TAKE A CREDIT CARD. Anyway after a few hours of pulling hair, walking miles and some watery eyes we finally got a car. Even after all this hassle to get the car it was even more problematic driving it because (a) it's a left hand drive (b) it was an automatic (c) the roads are huuuuge and crazy (d) there are some crazy Texan driving rules of the road (e) everyone else drives big monster trucks whilst we might aswell have been in a mini or smart car.

After gripping to the steering wheel like I was on a white knuckle ride at six flags we reached our new house, we checked in, signed the lease, paid and then got the keys. As we are now Americans we drove round and our first impressions were amazing! Great choice!

Then it was off out to find somewhere to eat since we hadn't had time all day. Next to the house was some restaurants and a small brewery bar. So it was in to freetail brewery ( our new local) for some amazing pizza.

It was then back to the hotel to sleep since we still need to get everything for the house.
