Christmas Tree

This morning whilst cooking the roast duck I also put the rest of the solar lights out onto the veranda and onto the Christmas tree which this year will remain on the veranda. The tree is a small Blue Pine and will go into the garden once Christmas is over.

This afternoon I have been sorting out Christmas cards and labels and I have written three letters to friends. These will be taken to the Post Office on Tuesday and hopefully those gong to France, Portugal and the USA will get there on time.

Today’s picture was going to be of the solar lights, but as they have not picked up much sun today they were not very bright, so instead you have the tree itself with some red and gold baubles on it. This picture was taken just after it had been watered and it is still draining; this is not where it will remain over Christmas. Looking at it I should have taken it from a different angle so that the incinerator was not in the background!
