Coming of Age

We were out at a ceilidh in Glendaruel Hall last night , which was celebrating the new hall roof which has just been installed.

Shona MacKellar , from whom we rented a house when we first came here , was there too and in the course of a chat asked how long it was since we came to the Glen.

Working it out I realised that the 7th of December - that very day - marked 21 years of us being in Feorlean because we moved in on the 7th of December 1992.

So this is a blip that celebrates our coming of age in the house Cathleen & I have lived in for longer than any other and which I hope we will never leave.

Though we are only a small part of the history of a building that has been occupied since around 1790.
