The View
From '100 Acre Cottage' where we were staying for the weekend for a long overdue visit with Mr T's #2 son, Robert and family. We've had a really good time and best of all enjoyed precious and lost time with William and Matthew, T's grandsons, who we don't see often enough. They remembered us though!! We picked up where we left off, apart from the new house which is just gorgeous - very rural, peaceful, few neighbours, lovely walks, fabulous views (one here), roaring fires, great dog 'Charlie' and new rescue kitten 'Gingernut' who spent the night with us - purring took the place of someone's snoring - so no change there, then!!
Our long journey north was very good until we were about 10 miles away from home when our last route was barred by a Police vehicle with no explanation, or diversion. Luckily we know all the local roads in the vicinity but we felt very sorry for the two Polish lorries who headed the queue relying on their GPS's and were having to travel the bendy B roads at no more than 20 miles an hour. The 15mile diversion therefore seemed to take ages. Never mind we're home safe now and enjoying the memories of our lovely weekend.
