Memories....

Mum was down visiting my Granddad at the weekend and brought some of my grans things home with her - including this tub of kajal.

If you look at any old portraits of young Indian children you will most likely see them with their eyes covered in this stuff. In recent years I have applied it with a pencil rather than a finger - but I do have memories of having it forcefully applied by either my granny or mum... wonder if I'll be able to apply it myself now or if I'll resort to a brush!
