A Suffolk Eye

By CroPage

Low sun..

Tides were surging last night and the water seemed to be on the march, rising to six feet above the normal high tide level. Along parts of the east coast, this was in an angry swoosh - but in our sheltered estuary it was more a matter of little trickling increments.

On and on and on... Very much like an overrrunning bath on a vast scale.

We once had a domestic catastrophe of that sort which involved dehumidifiers roaring for six weeks afterwards to dry everything off. Luckily in Woodbridge we have flood barriers. And they kept most of the water out.

Today high water is still very high, but everything is back in its place more or less. Without the need for dehumidifiers.
