Kaiteriteri
We are now in Kaiteriteri. The Maori translation for this is not entirely sure, due to many variations of its spelling. Apparently the different variations all share the same themes of 'movement' and 'food' - one translation is 'the food drifted' so maybe it's similar to Kaikoura with its crayfish meaning?
Kaiteriteri is known for its amazing golden sand beaches and turquoise waters. Although the weather was a tad overcast for us, we had a wander about and found this secluded beach away from the main area. Here is Sol, with the beach all to himself (and me taking the picture). This one reminded us of Maya Beach in Thailand a little!
