Embroidered flowers

We bought this in the Night Market in Kowloon a couple of years ago. The first time we visited the night market there didn't seem to be anything worth buying - we revisited after spending some time in the hotel's clubroom (where they knew we were partial to gin and tonic) and there seemed to be plenty of bargains. This picture wasn't dear - but was it worth buying at all?
