My favourite

Out of all the new young cattle, this is my favourite, a very pretty Simmenthal Cross steer. He has a lovely dark brown colour with a white blotchy face and a pair of good looking evenly shaped horns.

A Hereford calf was born in the night, one of two we are waiting for. They will be well behind all the others in age which will be slightly difficult when they are weaned as we will have to put them separately to begin with because of their size.

T was up at 5.30 this morning feeding the cattle before driving down to Cornwall with a mate to look at a farm that R was interested in renting. It was all go back at the house with V doing the farm accounts, K revamping N's cupboard of an office, and A dropping in for a cup of tea back from North Cyprus. We have got rid of N's large desk which was taking up far too much room for the small space and K has built a "bench" desk from wall to wall by the window under which can be placed small office cabinets and the chair.
