Birdfair without the fair

Today's visit was to the Egleton Reserve on Rutland Water, the site where Birdfair takes place each August. It was very odd seeing the fields which I'm used to seeing full of people and marquees empty of all but trees!

As you can see it was a lovely day but the wind was quite chilly. There were quite a lot of birds about and I saw my first ever Goosander - fabulous looking birds.
