CIRCUMNAVIGATION

Sir Francis Drake, privateer (= pirate), slaver, sailor and national hero took about three years to go around the world from 1577 to 1580. The plane flying over his head which he seems to be watching, could do it in about two days or less. The pigeons and seagulls seem to have little respect for him - they may be part-Spanish, as am I.

Apart from El Draque, we had a lovely morning at Plymouth in the sunshine. It was mild enough to sit out on the pavement having our second breakfast. Then off to Yealmpton to find some ancestors in the churchyard.

(Internet connection frustratingly slow, so apart from backblipping yesterday, I probably won't visit Blip much until next week.)
